Our aim is to act as a Junior Quantity Surveyor working remotely. We can prepare your drawings so there will be very little left to measure, or you can instruct us to measure specific elements, such as areas and perimeters; we are happy to do what is needed. Extensions and alterations, new builds, public and private buildings, small or large, landscaping or drainage, anything that can be measured in advance.
We have assisted with measuring the hotel bedrooms and en-suites in The Shard, London, but equally we will measure the elements needed for a residential extension.
We prefer to just measure, but we can provide Cost Plans in NRM 1 format or, if you send us your company’s Excel or QS Pro layout for a Schedule of Works, we can also amend it and input the figures for you. We will then return the document and measured drawings to you to check over.
Contractor’s Quantity Surveyor / Estimator
If you are preparing to submit tenders and have, or are willing to install, Bluebeam software on one computer in your office, we can measure the drawings you send to us and have many of the dimensions ready to speed up your tendering process.
If you specialise in foundations, or plastering, or another trade, we can estimate your materials for the job.
We work closely with Estimators as part of the team and are flexible, knowing that sometimes you will need us to step in at short notice to measure just some of the elements of the job. No job too big or too small.
We can work on an ad hoc basis to prepare the measurement of drawings in Bluebeam.
We can help to train staff to use basic Bluebeam Revu for take-offs.
Services We Do Not Provide
We do not price work.
We do not produce whole Bills of Quantities in SMM7 or NRM2. But we do work closely with two other Quantity Surveying Practices who can provide these services at reasonable prices if required. Please ask for details.
We would like to be known as producing quick, accurate, drawing measurements to support traditional Quantity Surveyors and Estimators. We are happy to produce Cost Plans in NRM1 format as these are relatively quick compared with a full BQ, but if we were to involve ourselves in the production of whole Bills of Quantities, this would completely change the focus of our company.
